Working in science and under 30?
Materials engineers and polymer scientists are invited to take part in case studies to be used in educational literature. DfES, the Department for Education and Skills, is seeking to update its booklet entitled ‘Working in Science’ to promote technical careers to 13 to 19-year-olds throughout the UK. The brochure will encompass a range of scientific jobs to raise awareness of the opportunities provided by studying this subject.
Interested parties under the age of 30 will receive a list of questions to answer by whatever medium they feel most comfortable with, and will be offered the chance to review their answers prior to publication. In particular, materials engineers involved in technology for sport and polymer technologists are sought.
To take part, contact Richard Tarrant, tel: +44 (0)1472 220329, e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org, as soon as possible.
