Visit the IOM3 Stand at Interplas

The Institute will be exhibiting at Interplas at the NEC, Birmingham, on Tuesday 4th to Thursday 6th October. Staff will be on hand on stand no 5249 to discuss your membership queries, provide details of how you can obtain professional qualifications, and how to take advantage of the member services offered to the polymer industry by the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.

The Institute has also been organised two Keynote Lectures during the event:
On Tuesday 4th October at 2pm Terry Pearson, formerly Chairman of Cinpres Gas Injection Ltd will speak on "Competitive Opportunities for Injection Moulders". Terry will discuss new opportunities for injection moulders to be competitive by reducing costs, including cost of energy, and by establishing market niche advantages. He will talk from experience of the global market place for injection moulding.

On Wednesday 5th October at 1pm, Richard Eisermann, Director of Design and Innovation at the Design Council will speak on "The Innovation Imperative". He will address the reasons why companies must learn to innovate, the different forms that innovation can take, the role that design plays in fostering innovation and give some snapshots of companies that have made innovation imperative to business success.

Attendance at the lectures is free of charge.
