ICT Meeting to Decide on IOM3 Merger
Following extensive talks, members of the Institute of Clay Technology (ICT) will vote on the
motion to merge with the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining at their EGM on 14 October 2005. If
the vote is in favour of a merger, then the IOM3 Council will also confirm the possible merger.
Talks between ICT and IOM3 began in 2003, culminating with the signing of a memorandum
of understanding in 2004. If the merger proceeds, the ICT will be renamed as the International Clay Technology Association (ICTA)
and will become a significant part of IOM3’s Ceramic Industry Division (CID).
