Forensic Materials Technology Seminar

A one day seminar on forensic materials technology being held in Leeds in July will give an overview of the processes and procedures of failure investigations, with an emphasis on the tools and techniques required. The event is being organised by the Institute’s Incorporated Engineers and Technicians Committee at Leeds University on 23 July 2003.

The programme has been designed to explore the special skills required in failure investigation, which has long been a role for the practical materials technologist, and will cover techniques and methodologies, legal aspects, major incident investigation and design to prevent failure. The seminar will be of interest to technicians and investigators, laboratory managers, and recent recruits to the profession.
