IOP Supports Packaging Feature at Food & Drink World

IOP: The Packaging Society will be supporting the PACK-IT feature and seminar programme at Food & Drink World 06. The PACK-IT features is one of a series of special features have been introduced to link the three shows that make up Food & Drink World 06 - Foodex Meatex, Food & Drink Expo and the Convenience Retailing Show - in response to visitor demands for a complete supply chain event covering every aspect of food and drink manufacture and retailing.

PACK-IT, which is also supported by PIRA International, the British Brands Group, the Faraday Packaging Partnership, and the International Agriculture and Technology Centre, is intended to meet visitor demands for quality information about packaging and its impact on the supply chain.

The feature will include the Design World Gallery, where visitors will be able to view some 20 futuristic and current designs from the cream of British packaging designers. Among the highlights will be futuristic packs designed to meet the needs of tomorrow¹s brand owners and retailers, and examples of packs that are just about to hit the market. Exhibits will also include some of the latest packaging technologies for the snacks and ready meals market.

Visitors will also be able to view supporters¹ exhibits and attend a series of seminars developed to create an environment in which they can access information about packaging and processing issues. These will include sessions on Retail Ready Packaging, the Appliance of Science, and Packaging for Branded Goods.
