Materials and impacts on the environment a leading role
Arup Materials Consulting

Responsible sustainability assessment and practice in the use of materials in construction has become a dominant issue for clients, designers, builders and suppliers. Arup aims to bring a depth of materials and context understanding, and quality of application, to projects unmatched in existing practice. We are working with clients and design teams on challenging projects, making a real difference with innovative, balanced, practical and valuable solutions.

We want to do more.

We are looking for outstanding candidates, with an established depth of skill and experience in both the effective use of materials and evaluation of their impact. The role will provide focus and extension of our established and growing capabilities in materials and their impact on the environment.

Based in London, but operating nationally and internationally, this post will enhance and extend the current capabilities in Arup Materials Consulting and provide a strong technical role for a person keen to extend themself.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a good first degree in a physical science, engineering or design subject, as well as a recognised professional qualification. You will also need to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the nature of materials along with a proven track record of evaluating impacts on the environment and creating understanding and solutions to meet the needs of a project.
