In this role, you will develop and apply component assessment techniques to support both steam and gas turbine operations, whilst delivering a site inspection, testing and analysis service to assess and remedy component degradation. Your responsibilities will extend across turbine blades and vanes, rotors, casings, boiler headers and tubes, and auxiliary plant items, giving impact on every area of our operations. Together with a Materials Degree or relevant Doctorate, you will ideally bring experience in high and low temperature applications of turbine steels, high temperature boiler materials, laboratory microscopy and analysis techniques. A strong background in power plant industry operations or maintenance is naturally crucial, and you will possess outstanding fault finding and problem solving skills plus a creative yet methodical approach.
