Associate Member representing Corporate Members

Trained as a Mining Engineer at the Camborne School of Mines. Gained experience in a number of technical and supervisory positions in mining, quarrying and civil engineering. Progressed to production and project management and consultancy. Spent the last ten years working for consulting engineers and local authorities supervising land reclamation, environmental and waste management projects, mostly associated with the redevelopment of former mineral industry sites.

Joined the Institution of Mining Engineers as an Associate Member and Incorporated Engineer in 1992, becoming a Southern Counties Branch councillor in 1997. Member of the IMM national council 2002-2003. A keen supporter of branch activities with a particular interest in providing encouragement to younger members, acted as mentor to a number of graduates and students.
