Maximising Mill Performance
4 December 2008
Western European rolling mills face challenging times with manufacturers from developing countries entering the market with low cost, high quality products. In order to stay competitive the industry needs to push the existing mills to the limits of productivity to reduce cost price and produce high quality products. Keeping pace with competitive imports and developing new products is essential to stay in business, all with as low as possible environmental impact.
The Rolling Committee of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining is planning a one-day conference to bring together interested parties to discuss how to meet these challenges by developing capabilities and optimizing the performance of existing plants.
